The Perilous Sea (The Element Trilogy 2)

Image
The Perilous Sea By Sherry Thomas Every story must have such a terrible moment, or it wouldn't be interesting.      God save my life…the ending…I’m speechless.   I love this book…I love the ending…I love the entire relationship…I love the world setting…I love reading. I can feel water gathering in my eyes while I’m reading this book…my heart ache…my mind stop functioning. Gosh…this is the best series I’ve ever read since I finish Lord of Shadows. All hail His Serene Highness, the Master of the Domain. All hail the greatest elemental mage of her generation, Iolanthe Seabourne!!!!! You’re about to witness an epic romance and an epic journey and an epic academic life.   After spending the summer away from each other, Titus and Iolanthe (still disguised as Archer Fairfax) are eager to return to Eton College to resume their training to fight the Bane. Although no longer bound to Titus by a blood oath, Iolanthe is more committed than ever to fulfilling her

Ranger’s Apprentice The Early Years: The Battle of Hackham Heath

Ranger’s Apprentice The Early Years: The Battle of Hackham Heath By John Flanagan       Yeah!! I’ve finally read this book!!!! Congrats to me!!! I actually bought it last year, as soon as it was released. But…I didn’t read it until now. What am I waiting? Like…I don’t know…I realize that my reading process is rather slow during the semester…although I haven’t had a lot of work to do. (Wait…like hell I don’t have works to do…I’ve tons!) Now…I’ve loved Halt and Crowley, and i especially love how John Flanagan put all those character we love inside the book!!!! Oh! And there is a good thing about the prequel of this series…cause you know nothing will happen to your beloved characters.   When the former Baron Morgarath escaped to avoid punishment for treason, an uneasy peace fell on Araluen. But Morgarath, now in hiding, is already planning his next move, recruiting an army of savage, overpowering beasts known as Wargals. Newly crowned King Duncan knows he must ass

Flawed

Image
Flawed By Cecelia Ahern       Shocking…is Vivian really reading a dystopian again and sort-of-contemporary?!   Trust me, I’m as shock as you are. In fact, I dought this book simply because the beautiful and unique cover plus it has on sale when I was buying other books…so ta dah! I finished one of the most shocking book I’ve ever read. And I gave it 4 stars…in a very different reason. But I can now understand why people read, why they like to get lost in somebody else's life. Sometimes I'll read a sentence and it will make me sit up, jolt me, because it is something that I have recently felt but never said out loud. I want to reach into the page and tell the characters that I understand them, that they're not alone, that I'm not alone, that it's ok to feel like this. This is how I usually rank a book…about the characters and the plot especially the shocking twists. But after reading Flawed, I’ve decided not to follow my original settin

The Burning Sky (The Element Trilogy 1)

Image
The Burning Sky By Sherry Thomas   She can deny her powers. But she cannot deny her destiny.     Oh my gosh…I’m overwhelming by this book. It’s so good!!!! I’ve already ordered the next two books and fortunately there are in stock in Taiwan’s bookstore!!!!! I can’t wait to read them all!!!!   I love all the characters with all my heart, and though I’ve doubt it in the beginning…it doesn’t matter at all!!!! I love its concept and everything. EVERTHING!!!!! My heart hadn’t jumped so fast for such a long time…there isn’t a book good enough to make me thrill. But this…this is unbelievable. I felt completely lost when I’ve finished it within 5 hours without stopping!!!! It’s killing me!   I can feel the words burning inside me, screaming and yelling at me. Waiting for me to type them all down. But how can I express? The book is simply so good that I don’t care what the author had written before. To me, this book is so good that I’ll now forever be your faithful se

The Book Jumper

Image
The Book Jumper By Mechthild Gläser   I opened the book and laid it across my face, the paper slid smoothly over my cheeks and along the bridge of my nose until it covered my eyes. The letters were far too close up to read. They swam before my eyes, melting into an inky whirlpool. They swirled around each other; they changed shape. Words flexed and twisted apart to form bushes and foliage. And then they came pattering down like raindrops: a shower of words raining down on me.       So I finished another book! This reading speed…is really terrifying me. Should I kept reading so fast? But…if I don’t, how am I going to manage my TBR list? But…I want to write so much! I haven’t return to write my book yet!!!! Now…I know, you’re here to read The Book Jumper’s review. To be honest, I’ve a really really high expectation for this book. I think jumping into books is a rather genius idea, especially having adventures with the book characters. And yet…after reading this b

Traitor to the Thorne (Rebel of the Sands Series 2)

Image
Traitor to the Thorne By Alwyn Hamilton   Rebel by chance. Traitor by choice.     Damn it!!!! This book is so good!!!!   This is so perfect that is beyond my imagination!!!!!!! I’ve seen bad reviews of this sequel to my beloved Rebel of the Sands…and nothing I feared happened!!!! Oh well…it wasn’t that horrible…it still got what it takes to be Rebel of the Sand’s sequel. So I’m satisfied. But after reading it…no, no no no no!!!! How am I going to wait until next year??? I need the last book!!! Please? I need the ARC now. I’m dying…the cliffhanger. If anything happened to my beloved…I’ll definitely battle with you.   Gunslinger Amani al'Hiza fled her dead-end hometown on the back of a mythical horse with the mysterious foreigner Jin, seeking only her own freedom. Now she’s fighting to liberate the entire desert nation of Miraji from a bloodthirsty sultan who slew his own father to capture the throne. When Amani finds herself thrust into the ep

Champion: At Fire’s End

Image
Champion: At Fire’s End By Charlotte Jain       I don’t get it. I really don’t get it. What am I reading?   I was so excited to read a new book about Greek Myths…you know how much I love a good mythology story. But then…I don’t really understand what the book is about…and I can’t feel connected to the characters. The only two characters I love died in the end…which I don’t know why and I can’t imagine what the sequel will be. Although among my ARC reading process…I did read some good books, and some…not that good. 2.5 stars. This book was the most disappointed of them all.   Seventeen-year-old best friends, April and Kyle, are thrown into the final battle of the Titan and Olympian war. Locked into an endless struggle, the Immortals have finally reached a solution - bestow mortal Champions with control over the elements to wage their final campaign.   Bestowed with control over fire and water, April and Kyle were raised by Immortals with a

The Darker Shade of Sorcery (The Realmers Series 1)

Image
The Darker Shade of Sorcery By William Collins       After reading so many negative reviews about this book…I almost give up on reading it. However, surprisingly, The Darker Shade of Sorcery isn’t that bad. Moreover, it’s sort of good in some way. So? I’m glad that I didn’t abandon it although I receive this book from the author. And I must apologize for taking it so long without giving a review…I’m kind of busy…and…I don’t particularly like to read e-book. So, I printed it out.   The lonely and grieving Evan Umbra is the newest Venator to enter Veneseron, the school for demon hunters. A Venator is a wizard, a spy and a demon hunter rolled into one. They’re taught how to wield their sorcery and enchanted weaponry by orcs, elfpires and aliens alike. Their missions range from battling monsters and saving countless lives in the multiple worlds, to the more peculiar, like wrangling killer unicorns and calming down drunken yetis. In their free time V

Serafina and the Splinted Heart (Serafina and the Black Cloak Series 3)

Image
Serafina and the Splinted Heart By Robert Beatty     First thing first…it’s still a good book.   But   Here comes the big BUT.   I’ll leave that to the spoiler. So, don’t say I didn’t warn you, since you’ve probably seen tons of great review about this book, most of them five stars. And…the rate is probably driven down by me…   The review after the introduction of this book won’t be too…highly praise.   Now…as I said, it’s still a good book and worth reading, and I’d still recommend it to all middle-grade students who love this kind of reading genre. The story has a great positive effect and the characters’ improvement is really great. Besides that, it contains several great problems with all face in life and gives wise suggestion. Those things are all great, and I honestly love it with all my heart. I enjoy Serafina’s journey throughout the book, as well as Braedon’s. They are a great team and great friend to each other. As well as Wasya. Wel
