Pure (The Covenant Series 2)
Pure
Jennifer L. Armentraut
There is need…and then there is Fate.
Remember that I didn’t like the first book
“that” much? Well…that changed. Although…I didn’t particularly like
the…well…Alex and Seth part…but the plot is great!!! I was like…mind blown.
Amazing job, amazing work. (Or is it that the first book of Vampire Academy is
so much alike with Half-Blood? I’m not sure…but…at least l felt this one much
better than the first.) The first book might be…well…nothing special, but not
bad. The second book is totally excited and thrill. I just love how the plot
goes and didn’t even mind the material of the paper!!! For more prove? You
know…it took me a long while to order the second and the third after finishing
the first…but I’ve already got my hand on the forth and the fifth book. See?
I’ve the entire collection of The Covenant series!!! I’ll only order my
pre-sequel when I arrived New York. (Whenever I mentioned NYC…I was jumping and
shouting.)
Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet
isn’t exactly awesome—especially when Alexandria’s “other half” is everywhere
she goes.
Seth’s in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up
in her bedroom—so not cool. Their connection does have some benefit, like
staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no
effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or with he
will do—and sacrifice—for her.
When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send
furies—lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and the
gods, and that includes the Apollyon…and Alex. And if that and hordes of
aether-sucking monsters didn’t blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems
willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into
servitude…or killing her.
When the gods are involved, some decisions can never ever be undone.
Why I didn’t like “Alex and Seth” part?
Well…I just don’t! I’m team Alex and Aiden!!! But…the interesting thing is that
Aiden isn’t my type…perhaps a little? Not enough to be my fictional boyfriend.
But I do like Seth, he’s an interesting guy in the book. What I don’t like is
that Alex settle for Seth. Bloody hell…does that count as a spoiler? (You see
nothing, you see nothing.) And you know the reason why Alex settles for Seth? Because
everything is wrong between Aiden and Alex!!! No!!!!!
I want sweet moment of them…not arguing!!!!
Ahhh!!!! (Frustrated.) All right, enough of our little-complicated-disappointed
romance. (Wait…I actually think Alex is going to be together with Seth…but…I
don’t like them together. Weird.)
So what’s so special about Pure? More
exciting fight, more heart broken moment…more… irresponsible Alex moment. Alex
is totally a badass, everyone gets that…but she is so out of control! Like most
fictional girls have there…sweet and reasonable part in side them, even only a
small part. But Alex…oh Alex…she’s just a wild horse. So different from me!!!
I’m like…WOW… She is totally uncontrollable. But do I dislike her? Well I
don’t. at least she’s true…better than some…bitches? You know…those queen bees
always thinking something to hurt others and mean words.
Yes! Just like that! She’s true and real!
Even with her…untolerable behaviors. But I like her! She is just Alex. Not the
Half-blood, not the Apollyon.
The entire book is more exciting than the
first one, it actually makes me want to devoured it…although till the end…I
didn’t. But I do finish it faster than the first one. If I said that Half-blood
is a book that you can read in free time for killing time? Pure is definitely a
must-read book…and the story just becomes more and more interesting!!! I love
how the story goes, especially when more are involved. Gods, daimons…all of
them makes the book better! So this time…you can’t wait until you have time to
read…you need it now!
