The Heroes of Olympus: The House of Hades (The Heroes of Olympus Series4)

The House of Hades
By Rick Riordan
Oh my goddess! I kept screaming when I finish The Mark of Athena! How can that happened to Percy and Annabeth! They just find each other and...and...they fell. Fell into the underworld, even the son of Hades, Nick, can hardly get out from there...oh my god...please let them be all right...

At the conclusion of The Mark of Athena, Annabeth and Percy tumble into a pit leading straight to the Underworld. The other five demigods have to put aside their grief and follow Percy’s instructions to find the mortal side of the Doors of Death. If they can fight their way through the Gaea’s forces, and Percy and Annabeth can survive the House of Hades, then the Seven will be able to seal the Doors both sides and prevent the giants from raising Gaea. But, Leo wonders, if the Doors are sealed, how will Percy and Annabeth be able to escape?
They have no choice. If the demigods don’t succeed, Gaea’s armies will never die. They have no time. In about a month, the Romans will march on Camp Half-Blood. The stakes are higher than ever in this adventure that dives into the depths of Tartarus.
In all of Percy and Annabeth problems, I believe this time is the worst, but there is still a glimpse of light. Percy and Annabeth are together, they had face so many troubles in their life, my only relief is that they still got each other while struggling to get out of the horrible place. Better than face it alone, right? When Percy and Annabeth tried to escape the House of Hades, the other demigods although need to face their own challenge. They have to stop Gaea and the Giants from arise, at the same time, Nick had his own quest as well. Nick must send the Athena's statue back to Camp Half-Blood, his success or failure will affect the fate of two camps. War or Peace? In this book, Percy and Annabeth had a lot stories. (Beware, this might be the last time you read so many Percy's POV. Sigh...) The plots during the House of Hades is really a WOW! We finally get rid of those similar things that happened to the demigods. And if you read my Demigods Diaries review before, you'll find that someone appeared before, and he is very important!!! Important enough to save Percy and Annabeth or destroy them. So the books are now connected! With the time getting closer, the pace of the series also becomes faster and more exciting. This only problem I got here is that there is too many people’s POV. We got the seven demigods and now we add Nick and…what she called?? (A thousand times sorry, I forget her name.) I love to read different people’s view, but when there’s too many, it becomes a bit complicated. We can hardly distinguish the characters, they all seem the same person! (I know the author has their own style of writing, but…shouldn’t different characters have different personality?)
I’ll give four stars to this book, for the new kind of plots and those amazing different view. But at the same time, I won’t give it another star because the massive POV in the story. But despite that, this is still one of my favorite book among the whole series.
