Percy Jackson : The Battle of the Labyrinth (Percy Jackson Series 4)

Percy Jackson : The Battle of the Labyrinth
By Rick Riordan
If you love Annabeth (who don’t?), you’re definitely going to love this book! (But for team Thalia, she won’t be in this book, so you’ll have to wait until….) Annabeth is having her first quest in Camp Half-Blood after waiting for years! But…her quest was extremely dangerous, even the daughter of war, Clarisse, was afraid to go inside again. (Yes, again…you’ll see why in this book and why she has been gone in the third book…I believe you can tell by my words…) She must face her deepest fear, and…accept the “extra help” to complete the quest.
Percy Jackson isn't expecting freshman orientation to be any fun. But when a mysterious mortal acquaintance appears on campus, followed by demon cheerleaders, things quickly move from bad to worse.
Time is running out as war between the Olympians and the evil Titan lord Kronos draws near. Even the safe haven of Camp Half-Blood grows more vulnerable by the minute as Kronos's army prepares to invade its once impenetrable borders. To stop the invasion, Percy and his demigod friends must set out on a quest through the Labyrinth - a sprawling underground world with stunning surprises at every turn.
Percy was once in a new school, by the help of his mother’s boyfriend. (A cool guy, actually.) There, when he expected a good beginning…however, something called vampires appeared in a hideous form of cheerleader. (They don’t actually call themselves vampires…but almost the same meaning, if you want to know the real name…find out yourselves! Name has power... But do not expect to read someone as handsome or beautiful as the vampires in Twilight…they are different!!! “Hideous” doesn’t just mean they drink blood!!!) There, Percy met Rachel, the girl he met in the third book, remember? (If you forget her… re-read the excellent third book!) And she saved Percy again… (Really, Percy? How can you call yourself demigod? Especially for the son of Poseidon??? ...Don’t be serious guys, I’m just joking! Everyone needs help sometime!) But why can a normal girl saved a demigod twice? How could she see all those monsters? That was a strange thing…but very helpful. As it turned out,Rachel help Percy and Annabeth a lot in the future.
Spoiler Warning~ Spoiler Warning~ Spoiler Warning
Yeap, she was the “extra help”, and why Annabeth had to learn to accept her…I must let you explore the answer on your own.
(Shouldn’t we talk about Annabeth? This was her quest!) Sorry, team Annabeth, now we’re talking about Annabeth. In this book, she met a genius, a lot of monsters, and little light. The Labyrinth was place underground, and without proper help, no one can pass through it. It was all over the USA, you may go into the maze at New York, but at the end, come out at somewhere far far away. (Perhaps you can even visit the far far away kingdom…) The Labyrinth had its own thought; it fooled those people who walked inside it, not to mention all the danger inside. Poor Annabeth, I think it’s even more challenge than Percy’s first quest. To give stars, I’ll give it 4.5 stars, like the Lightning Thief, of course, there’s 0.5 more for The Titan’s Curse. But this book will remind you why you first fall in love with the whole series, and why should you keep reading it.
