Stardust

Stardust By Neil Gaiman       I finally read one of my favorite movie’s novel!!!!! Yes, I watched the movie first then read the novel after years. Don’t judge. However…it’s quite unexpected to me that the novel has quite a different plot then the movie. Although I love them both…or to be honest, I love the movie a little, tiny bit more than the book.   It’s still a great book…just that the movie has more…climaxes.   In the sleepy English countryside at the dawn of the Victorian era, life moves at a leisurely pace in the tiny town of Wall. Young Tristan Thorn has lost his heart to the beautiful Victoria Forester, but Victoria is cold and distant as the star she and Tristan see fall from the sky one evening. For the prize of Victoria's hand, Tristan vows to retrieve the star for his beloved. It is an oath that sends the lovelorn swain over the town's ancient wall and into a world that is dangerous and strange beyong imagining ...   I loved fai

Caraval

Caraval By Stephanie Garber   This is your first clue on the road to find her. The others will not be so easy to retrieve. Some will make you question your sanity and all that you believe.   Clue number two you’ll discover in the rubble of her departure. Number three you must earn. Number four will cost you something valuable. And number five requires a leap of faith.   Most of you will fail, But one will surely succeed.   You have five nights to find the four remaining clues and then the girl, and Legend’s wish will be yours.     This is fantastic!!! The setting, the plot, the pace…I’m mad. I know lots of people loves this book, but at the same time, I also read a lot of negative reviews, so I’m a bit terrify that I’d be disappointed. Cause even though I know not much about this book, I somehow highly anticipated it. But…no fear, I love it. I can read the story so vividly as if I was in the Venice’ carnival; in the se

And I Darken (The Conqueror's Saga 1)

And I Darken (The Conqueror's Saga 1) By Kiersten White   So the question becomes, Daughter of the Dragon, what will you sacrifice? What will you let be taken away so that you, too, can have power?     Oh gosh…reading this book makes me so frustrated!!! Uh!!!   I hate most of the main characters expect for few…I hate the relationship, I hate the tortured love…I hate everything that involve emotions inside this book. But…I can’t help but in love with the story setting, the schemes, the plots…I love to hate those characters, I love to explore the history within, I love the mixture of history and fiction…I don’t know how to feel about this book!!!!! I’m frustrated!!!!   No one expects a princess to be brutal. And Lada Dragwlya likes it that way. Ever since she and her gentle younger brother, Radu, were wrenched from their homeland of Wallachia and abandoned by their father to be raised in the Ottoman courts, Lada has known

The Silver Witch

The Silver Witch By Paula Brackston   My mind is like the willow; it flexes and springs. My heart is a knot of oak. Let them try to wound me.     Finally, after three or four days’ reading…I finished this book eventually. It took me so long to read this one…such a shame for my previous insane reading speed. Now…so what takes me so long to complete this book? nothing, beside my laziness. However…my mind is like the willow, but it doesn’t flexes and springs…it twists. I have such a complicated opinion for this book!!!! Uh!!!! How am I going to rate you at all?   A year after her husband’s sudden death, ceramic artist Tilda Fordwells finally moves into the secluded Welsh cottage that was to be their new home. She hopes that the tranquil surroundings will help ease her grief, and lessen her disturbing visions of Mat’s death. Instead, the lake in the valley below her cottage seems to spark something dormant in her – a sensitivity, and a power of some sort

A Crown of Wishes (The Star-Touched Queen Series 2)

A Crown of Wishes By Roshani Chokshi   Find the one who glows, with blood on the lips and fangs in the heart.     What can a girl ask for more? A beautiful cover, a luring magical story, a handsome fox, and a fearsome heroine. The book? Is definitely magical and worth a thousand time reading…my eyes are so tired now because I read it all night to finish this book…and without a good sleep. Why? Because now my mind is full of those extremely special setting and I love it. This is a novel I’d love to create and write for a thousand years…Roshani Chokshi has outdone herself this time. This book is even better than my beloved The Star-Touched Queen. OMG…it’s so good. So unexpected, twisted and lovely. There are danger mixes with beauty, fantasy mixes with death. It’s just incredible.   An ancient mystery. An unlikely union. For one young princess in a state of peril, a dangerous wish could be the only answer… She is the princess of Bharata—capt
