The Hidden Oracle (The Trials of Apollo Series 1)

Image
The Hidden Oracle By Rick Riordan   What’s the funniest book of 2016? Definitely The Hidden Oracle from The Trial of Apollo series!!! I laugh throughout the entire book. But is it merely a funny book? No!!! We got all those favorite ingredients we love about Percy Jackson and The Hero of Olympus!!!! What’s best? We don’t have TONS OF POV!!!!! AND I LOVE THAT!!!! (You might remember why I don’t love The Hero of Olympus as much as Percy Jackson—too many POVS and all the similar scenes.) But no! The Hidden Oracle has none of that!!! After all, Apollo is different, right? How do you punish an immortal? By making him human. After angering his father Zeus, the god Apollo is cast down from Olympus. Weak and disorientated, he lands in New York City as a regular teenage boy. Now, without his godly powers, the four-thousand-year-old deity must learn to survive in the modern world until he can somehow find a way to regain Zeus's favour. But Apollo has many enemies - gods,...

Daimon and Elixir Review (The Covenant Series 0.5 + 3.5)

Image
Daimon By Jennifer L. Armentraut   So…as I said at Goodreads before, I’m going to put Daimon and Elixir’s review together, since they’re both so short…I didn’t get enough of them!!!! I need more!!!!     I’ve waited for so long after I finish the entire Covenant Series and wanted to read them so much…but what did I exactly get? Just a few pages? How come it all end so quickly???   "Love in my world usually ended up with someone hearing 'I smite thee!' as she was cursed to be some lame flower for the rest of her life."

June + July Book Haul—Months for the Covenant

Image
June + July Book Haul—Months for the Covenant   Book haul? Are you ready? I’m absolutely ready for them!!! Yeah!!! Actually…I believe there will be more books after I arrived NYC, but since it’s a summer trip, I’ll do a NY book haul after I come back. And why I add June? Well…I completely forgot to write my June Book Haul…so…here I am, doing both month. Besides, there isn’t a lot of book for June, I save most of my money for US. But I did read some great book in June and July, so without further ado, let’s get the party started!!!

Sentinel (The Covenant Series 5)

Image
Sentinel By Jennifer L. Armentraut It’s a beautiful day for a war.   Seriously? War? What kind of situation will you put “beautiful day” and “war” together? I think only when everything turns out wrong… here comes the final book of The Covenant Series!!!! Noooo!!!!! I love it…every page of it. Do you know what I realize after reading the entire series? Never give up on books. You’ll never know how they’ll turn out. In every Covenant series’ reviews I’ve mentioned that I don’t practically like Half-Blood…but who knows I become a huge fan of other four books? I’m glad that I’ve kept the habit of reading the entire series no matter how it goes, cause you can never guess what the authors are going to do next. Never.   As the mortal world slowly slips into chaos of the godly kind, Alexandria Andros must overcome a stunning defeat that has left her shaken and in doubt of their ability to end this war once and for all.   And with all the obstacles between ...

Apollyon (The Covenant Series 4)

Image
Apollyon By Jennifer L. Armentraut   Fate isn’t something to mess with…and now, neither is Alex.   Holly daimon…this book is getting better and better and better!!!! You need proof? Here you go—Half-Blood, three stars; Pure and Deity, four stars, and now—Apollyon, five stars!!!! The book is so amazing!!! I love it in every possible way, the plots, the characters…just draw every inch of me. Remember the last scene from Deity? Alex was connected with Seth… her Seth. As you can guess…we’re now having a…well…weird Alex, and I kind of like her in that way. (Strange huh?) But besides that, everything in this book is great!!!   Alex has always feared two things: losing herself in the awakening and being place on the elixir. But love has always been stronger than fate, and Aiden St. Delphi is willing to make war on the gods—and Alex herself—to bring her back.

Deity (The Covenant Series 3)

Image
Deity Jennifer L. Armentraut   History is on repeat, and things didn’t go so well the last time.   This series is getting better and better!!! I’m so glad that I keep reading and didn’t give up on it! Especially…there are some hot, heart-touched, emotional scenes. (Fanning myself…) And I love how the relationship goes…it’s getting better and better!!! It takes me more than a month to finish Half-Blood, about one week to finish Pure…guess what? It only takes two day…or three to finish Deity!!! (Not to mention I’m now moving toward Apollyon and Sentinel. And…I almost finish Apollyon.) See? The Covenant series is becoming a devoured book!!! It can now be place as love, not like, not OK. But love. I love how everything goes and what is going to happen next.   Alexandria isn’t sure she’s going to make it to her eighteenth birthday—till her awakening. A long-forgotten, fanatical order is out to kill her. And if the council ever discovers what she d...

Pure (The Covenant Series 2)

Image
Pure Jennifer L. Armentraut   There is need…and then there is Fate.   Remember that I didn’t like the first book “that” much? Well…that changed. Although…I didn’t particularly like the…well…Alex and Seth part…but the plot is great!!! I was like…mind blown. Amazing job, amazing work. (Or is it that the first book of Vampire Academy is so much alike with Half-Blood? I’m not sure…but…at least l felt this one much better than the first.) The first book might be…well…nothing special, but not bad. The second book is totally excited and thrill. I just love how the plot goes and didn’t even mind the material of the paper!!! For more prove? You know…it took me a long while to order the second and the third after finishing the first…but I’ve already got my hand on the forth and the fifth book. See? I’ve the entire collection of The Covenant series!!! I’ll only order my pre-sequel when I arrived New York. (Whenever I mentioned NYC…I was jumping and shouting.)   ...

Half-Blood (The Covenant Series 1)

Image
Half-Blood By Jennifer L. Armentraut   Could you kill the one you love?   Well…where to start? Let’s start with the awesome cover!!! I’m so in with this kind of cover! The major reason why I buy this book is because of its cover. It’s so beautiful!!! And the other books have covers as amazing as well. But…to be honest…it take me a long long while to finish this book. When I first read it, I stopped at page 10, then page 50. After that, I started to read The Kiss of Deception, The Siren, and Winter. So recently, I’m run out of book, so I decided to pick it up and read it again. This time…well…look down below and find out!   The Hematoi descend from the unions of god and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi—Pure-bloods—have godlike power. Children of Hematoi and mortals—well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill Daimons or become servants in the homes of the Pures.   Seventeen-year-old Alexandr...

A Court of Mist and Fury ( A Court of Thorns and Roses 2)

Image
A Court of Mist and Fury By Sarah J. Maas   For love, she cheated death.   For her world, she will become a weapon.   “To the stars who listened, and to the dreams that are answered.”   Wait…don’t you ask me why I choose this quote as my beginning…I just love it so much!!!! Few months ago, when I finished A Court of Thorns and Roses, I knew that I needed the second part immediately, and finally after the long-long wait…the book is here. But, just before the book arrived, I’ve seen a lot of plot predictions and all of them are about Feyre and Rhys…their possibility of being together. As you might know…I ship Feyre and Tamlin so hard that I had already imagined what I was about to write for my review of A Court of Mist and Fury. “Do you a shouting all around the world? Cause that’s what happened when I read this book!!! And damn! I need Feyre and Tamlin together.”   However…things turn out quite different as I’ve expected…no shouting…just uns...

The Siren

Image
The Siren By Kiera Cass     A girl with a secret. The boy of her dreams. An Ocean between them. I’d waited for an eternity for this. I’d have waited all over again if I had to. I was meant to kiss the boy, designed to be held by him. All the careful postures I held melt away, and I pulled him closer. We were STARS . We were Music . We were Time .   I’ve longed for this book for so long!!! After I’ve read The Selection Series, I managed to find other books by Kiera Cass, and I found The Siren! But…this book wasn’t available then…it was already out of sell. However, after few months…the book was announced to print again!!! And with a brand new beautiful cover! I love this cover so much! I just love the blue ocean, the dress, and the back cover. It all looks so great together!

The Heroes of Olympus

The Heroes of Olympus: The Blood of Olympus (The Heroes of OlympusSeries 5)

Image
The Blood of Olympus By Rick Riordan   Here comes the final! It seems that Rick Riordan really like five books? Percy Jackson has five books and so does Heroes of Olympus. My opinion for this book…Ahhh! where to begin? I was so disappointed!!! We only got a little bit Percy and Annabeth, but thank god that they return safely. On the other hand, shouldn’t the plot focus on the seven demigods? Why do we have so many people aside from the demigods in the prophecy?

The Heroes of Olympus: The House of Hades (The Heroes of Olympus Series4)

Image
The House of Hades By Rick Riordan   Oh my goddess! I kept screaming when I finish The Mark of Athena! How can that happened to Percy and Annabeth! They just find each other and...and...they fell. Fell into the underworld, even the son of Hades, Nick, can hardly get out from there...oh my god...please let them be all right...

The Heroes of Olympus: Son of Neptune (The Heroes of Olympus Series 2)

T he Son of Neptune By Rick Riordan    Y es!  Y es!  Y es!  T he hero is back!!!  A hhhhh!  W e can own Percy once more!!!  A s you can see, the second book of The Heroes of Olympus is about Percy and is …  horrible  situation .  L ike Jason, Percy woke up without any memory, expected one person: Annabeth. How lovely! (Cough … ) but at the same time we celebrate Percy ’ s return … we have to curse Hera again for departing Percybeth …   I  just say …  if anything happened to them, well then great Hera … mwhahaha!

The Heroes of Olympus: The Lost Hero (The Heroes of Olympus Series 1)

Image
The Lost Hero By Rick Riordan   I was wondering, whether I should write a Kane Chronicle review or The Heroes of Olympus? I personally prefer Kane Chronicle, unfortunately, it has been too long since I read it and I'm too busy to re-read it recently. So let's start with The Heroes of Olympus! But...NOOOO!!!! Where is Percy!!! Don't kill one of my favorite characters in the book!

Percy Jackson: The Greek God

Image
Greek Gods By Rick Riordan   Percy is writing books?! Doesn't he has dyslexia? I think this is more of Annabeth's job! But, Percy did a great job! The book is absolutely funny! Percy really does a great sacrifice for writing this book! (I can imagine those gods staring at him…God bless you Percy~ we’ll make sure you have a good funeral if you were killed by the lightning…)

Percy Jackson & The Heroes of Olympus: The Demigod Diaries

Image
The Demigod Diaries By Rick Riordan   Here comes another short stories series! Is it as good as the first one? Or is it just another “nothing” book? I was so dilemma when I saw this book, I was afraid I would get something like The Ultimate Guide which makes me really disappointed, but when I remember the fun stories in The Demigod Files, I anticipated this book.

Percy Jackson: The Ultimate Guide

Image
The Ultimate Guide By Rick Riordan   To be honest, this won’t be my favorite book… I don’t think this book is worthy to buy… yet the illustrations are beautiful…so it kinds of make the book better.      I t's the handbook no half-blood should be without: a fully illustrated, in-depth guide to gods, monsters, and all things Percy. This novelty companion to the best-selling series comes complete with trading cards, full-color diagrams, and maps, all packaged in a handy, "manual-size" POB with a crisp, magnetic flap enclosure.
